What do you want to achieve?

It may seem like the obvious starting point but it’s an important one. We have a wide range of courses for everyone, from leaders, directors, middle managers, and assistants, to specialist support such as Women of Colour in Leadership, Finance for Non Financial Directors and Building Your Resilience at Work. Over the years we have continuously listened to people’s needs, working closely with our trainers to develop the right courses to meet the growing and changing needs of leaders and individuals in the workplace. We know a bit about what works and can always help you find the course to fit your goals.

You may already have one specific skill set or group of people in mind for training but it’s also helpful to zoom out and look at your development goals for the organisation and your individuals. It might identify opportunities for a series of sessions for different people across the business, there may be people that will really benefit from our open courses, training with other peers from other businesses, or you might identify a need to train groups in-house to increase team connection and culture.

Online or In Person?

Many of our courses can be facilitated either online or in person. There are advantages to both. Online courses give you the opportunity to be a part of live, interactive training in the same way you would in person but without the need to travel to a venue. In-person courses offer a great networking opportunity and an even more hands-on interactive experience.

Consider what might work best for your team. Perhaps you want to get them together to bond and network, perhaps you have remote workers who would find online courses more practical and convenient. It’s important to note however that we don’t deliver hybrid courses. Our training is expertly planned around either the online or in person experience and we know that trying to blend the two can result in the wrong experience for either party.

Are you pushed for time?

Perhaps you’ve just had a new intake of staff or a string of promotions in the business that you need to upskill quickly. If you’re pushed for time, we can look at alternatives to help you get learning quickly – such as half-day courses, that can deliver a bedrock of essential knowledge for your people without taking them out of the business for a prolonged time.

How many delegates?

Knowing how many people you want to attend could open doors for your company’s training experience. If you have several people in your team looking to be trained in the same area, it might be possible for us to arrange training in-house.

With an in-house course, our trainers will research your business and tailor the session for your specific needs, using your business’ language and terminology to make it more relevant to your delegates. We can also become part of your company's away days and team-building days.

With open courses, your people will get the chance to network with other attendees from other sectors and share ideas. They’re held at quality, specialist venues up and down the UK that are always easy to get to!

We keep to a low number of delegates on each course to ensure engagement and that the learning environment is always the best it can be. Whether it’s spreading your delegates over a number of open courses or all together in-house, there’s no hard and fast rule - we just make sure it’s right for you.

What's the time frame for delivery?

It’s better to give us as much notice as you possibly can to give us the best chance of getting you the best training experience possible. However, we know things can move fast in the world of work and you need quick solutions.

Our most popular courses get booked up well in advance, so please try to give yourself as much time as possible. We list the dates and times of our courses on our website, so have a look and see what’s coming up. The more notice you can give us, the better chance we have to put together the course you’re looking for.

What’s your budget?

It needn’t be the elephant in the room. It’s important that training works financially both for you and for us. We don’t believe in trying to squeeze as much money out of a booking as possible – but we do believe in delivering true value for money. The value of our courses lies in the expertise of the trainers we work with, so we only work with the best and we make sure their skills are fairly paid for.

It's helpful to think about your training budget and what you want to achieve so we can match you to the course your team need and deserve. And if you’re not the budget holder, try to get budget sign-off from your financial team before you make any training plans and booking enquiries – without this, businesses often find they can’t take an enquiry any further and risk missing out on upcoming training, especially on our high demand courses that sell out quickly.
