It’s a great time to look back at the year and reflect on what we’ve been able to achieve and how we can improve and drive The Hub Events forward in the new year. Each year, we summarise our year in numbers. This year, we’re particularly proud of one new number – our TrustPilot score rose from 4.8 to 4.9 stars out of five. We’re incredibly proud of this and so grateful to everyone who takes the time to write us a review and give us feedback.
As well as the amazing TrustPilot reviews, you also take the time out to contact us directly about your Hub Events experience. Here, we’re looking back at some of the wonderful things people have said about our training, venues and trainers when they reached out to us over the course of 2025.
They genuinely care…
“Their course material is very well thought out. Their presenters are top class, and they listen to their customers, adapting the training courses as per the customers’ needs. They genuinely care.”
Director, Global Pharmaceutical Sector
We delivered a range of courses, in-house, for a leading biopharmaceutical company that was growing rapidly and managing organisational change. They recognised the need to upskill and empower their teams as they grow, implementing a high-performance culture and adapting to the changes and challenges that come with culture change.
“The people running the day are really good at what they do. You’re not alone, you’ve got lots to gain from the day, you can meet great people and make friends. You can relax and be open to get as much as you can out of the experience – The Hub Events trainers are experts, they’ve got you.”
Julian Kettleborough, The Studio
Our course venues are hand-picked by us to make sure they deliver everything our delegates need for a course and more besides. We spoke to the wonderful Julian Kettleborough from The Studio Venues about how they contribute to making each and every training experience a memorable one for you.
Feeling inspired, motivated and so grateful…
“Just finished a great day attending the Women Advancing in Leadership training. Our trainer was fantastic, super engaging and full of great insights. Thank you for not only running such a powerful session but also keeping us fuelled with a lovely breakfast, lunch, and plenty of snacks! Left feeling inspired, motivated, and so grateful to be in a room full of brilliant women.”
Senior Operations Manager, Finance
Women Advancing in Leadership is just one of the courses we run that are designed specifically to support and empower women facing the innumerable challenges of gender that exist in the workplace. Find out more about this course and view the 2026 course dates here.
“I had the privilege of attending the Women Advancing in Leadership course in London delivered by Emma Walker-Cotton, and it was an incredibly eye-opening experience. The discussions, insights, and personal stories shared were a powerful reminder of the untapped potential in having a gender-diverse leadership team. As we continue to strive for equality in the workplace, it’s important to recognise that having a gender-balanced workforce is not just the right thing to do—it’s also a key driver of business success.”
Senior Manager, Engineering Sector
It’s amazing to read such positive comments about such an important course, delivered by such a talented trainer: Emma! Emma delivered the majority of the 36 courses we ran this year that have been designed especially for women. These included: Women Advancing In Leadership, Confidence to Succeed- Assertiveness for Women and Empowering Women in Management.
Probably the best training I’ve done…
“The organisation, venue, info, reception, food and cleanliness were all top notch. And the course was fantastic. Could you please thank James Perryman for me, and let him know I found the course extremely useful, and his way of conducting it is probably the best in any course/training I’ve done.”
Senior Sales Manager, Animation Company
Praise indeed for one of The Hub Event’s most prolific trainers, James Perryman! James has been working with us for years now and his courses are always incredibly popular, with many people asking for his courses by name when they book. It’s because he’s not only an excellent trainer, but diligently puts in time and effort to create the best possible learning environment for delegates.
Genuinely buzzing…
“Genuinely buzzing from the excellent training I attended yesterday, Finance for Non-Financial Directors, highly informative around the technical side of a balance sheet and what to look for, my absolute favourite section was the jargon-busting element! The training included some insightful real-world content as we examined published financial statements. A big thank you to Sarah Hobbs, who delivered the session with warmth, engaged everyone and shared her vast knowledge on the world of finance.”
Head of Inclusion, Housing Sector
It’s not often people are left feeling ‘genuinely buzzing’ after some financial learning, it’s pretty spectacular feedback for Sarah Hobbs’ Finance for Non-Financial Directors course! Designed specifically for non-finance directors and senior managers, Sarah helps to demystify the world of finance, giving you a sound understanding of a whole range of financial concepts and skills.
Truly made the course a must-attend…
“Heather’s expertise, passion for the profession, knowledge and engaging presentation style truly made the course a must-attend for any assistant. I gained valuable new tips, reinforced some existing knowledge, networked with like-minded peers and participated in some practicals, which helped highlight the key takeaways. I came away feeling more confident. I really enjoyed the day – it was relaxed even though there was much to cover.”
Executive Assistant and Board Secretary, Charity Sector
Heather Baker is an amazing advocate for the changing role of the Personal and Executive Assistant in business today. Bringing years of experience in the role, Heather’s training helps EAs and PAs see their role differently. She enables her delegates to grow in skill and confidence, seeing their role not just as ‘tea and typing’ but as a strategic partner working alongside leaders to deliver on an organisation’s goals.
A very welcoming environment…
“I found this course really useful with lots of practical tools that I can implement at work. Cath was a great course leader, making the information accessible and creating a very welcoming environment.”
In-house attendee
Cath St Leger is expert in not only delivering engaging sessions such as the Dealing with Difficult People and Challenging Behaviours at Work but also creating warm, welcoming training environments that get the best out of people. Attendees share their experiences and highlight the approachable, open environment that empowers people and makes them comfortable to share.
Absolutely brilliant, full of knowledge…
“I attended the ‘building resilience at work’ course on the 11th June with Shona and it was a fantastic course! Shona was absolutely brilliant, full of knowledge and delivered the course in a fun way. Would definitely recommend and hope to attend more future courses with The Hub Events!“
Open course attendee
Developing skills such as personal resilience are a powerful part of our suite of courses and Shona Ward is a master at helping people build their own insights, strategies and strengths in a supportive and positive setting. Building resilience at work is one of our courses that is regularly in high demand and it’s easy to see why.
Absolutely amazing..
“I recently attended a training session led by Heather, and she was absolutely amazing. She is an outstanding trainer, very professional, incredibly skilled in communication, and highly engaging throughout the session. She is truly excellent at what she does and has deep knowledge in psychology and understanding people.”
In-house attendee
Heather Wright has spent years studying the neuro-psychology of behaviour and influence, and uses this information as well as her highly entertaining style to be the catalyst to inspire and deliver results in individuals, teams and organisations. And so when it comes to courses such as Sales Skills to Build Long Term Relationships in Business, attendees get so much from the session with Heather, from expert tips and take-aways to real-life stories and scenarios, to energy and inspiration.
Very understanding of our needs…
“I did the Courageous Conversations course in my last role at the same company back in 2023 and loved it! Larry is so refreshing, a great teacher and good at guiding in the right direction. I was so happy to do the course again relating to a different topic in my new role. Larry was very understanding of our needs and got us feeling inspired as a group to finally get started beyond the course. Thank you Larry for your time, patience and support – especially as a neurodiverse individual.”
In-house attendee
Our trainers add real value and our courses are shaped to grow with you as you grow in your roles and within your teams and organisations. So much so that some attendees regularly come back for more. And with Larry Reynold’s refreshing and understanding delivery style it’s no surprise. What’s more, like Larry, all our trainers work hard to support different learning styles, making our courses as accessible as possible.
The buzz in the office afterwards said it all…
“We virtually attended this AI course as a group of complete beginners. What started as curiosity quickly turned into excitement – we left genuinely amazed by what we’d seen and learned. The buzz in the office afterwards said it all. The trainer was absolutely fantastic – engaging and knowledgeable. No question felt silly, and Mike managed to make complex concepts feel simple and relatable. As someone who now uses AI almost daily, I can confidently say this course was a turning point.”
Group HR Manager, Construction
Love it, hate it or fear it, AI is here to stay. Mike Garde, our AI and automation expert, helps businesses harness its power, understanding the strengths it can add to an organisation’s operation. His training makes sure not only that you don’t get left behind as AI’s abilities expand, but that you can stay ahead of the AI curve in ways that your competitors can’t.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: we’re proud and humbled to receive such wonderful feedback. We always share our feedback with our trainers, so they get the praise they so thoroughly deserve. Getting your thoughts and opinions is crucial to us. It helps us act quickly to improve the things that need attention, and the kind words we get let us know when we’re doing something right, and keeps us going!
